Tier 2 Licensing Confirmed 2023/24

We are thrilled to announce that Cefn Albion Football Club has received confirmation from the FAW today that our appeal has been successful, and we have been granted the Tier 2 license for the 2023/24 season. This is a significant achievement for our club and a testament to the hard work and dedication of our volunteers.

This positive development allows us to shift our focus towards preparing for the highly anticipated Ardal Northern Playoff match against fellow runners up Bangor 1876. With the winner of this match promoted to Cymru North, Tier 2 of the Welsh Pyramid, this match holds great significance for our club as it offers a chance to elevate our status. We eagerly await the complete details of the final and will share them through our website and social media channels.

Our hardworking committee and in particular the Chair, has been diligently working to ensure that Cefn Albion meets all the requirements outlined in the license application. We submitted the application to the FAW prior to the April 30th, 2023 deadline, demonstrating our intentions and commitment to be fully prepared for any outcome. Although our initial application was declined due to a minor administrative issue, we remained confident and pursued an appeal. The hard work of our volunteers and the meticulous attention to detail put into addressing the concern have paid off. We are delighted to have overcome this hurdle and secured our Tier 2 license.

Cefn Albion Football Club is committed to meeting all necessary criteria, not only to elevate our level of competition but also to ensure that our club is represented at the level it rightfully deserves.
