Cefn Albion 4-2 Hawarden Rangers
A good confidence boosting win for the lads today up on the rock, a hard fought win against a very good Hawarden side.
The Albion took the lead inside in the first few minutes when some great build up play resulted in the ball falling to Jamie Foulkes who rifled home from 12 yards. Rangers came back fighting and got just rewards when the lively striker capitalised on a defensive mixup and tucked into an open net.
The second half and Albion were defensively solid and were very threatening on the break, which resulted In a goal for inform striker Oliver Davies, rangers straight back into it 2-2 and grabbed the game by the scruff, well on to. But Albion stood firm!!
A corner kick from Foulkes found the head of Sean Jones and ALBION were in front again... this time not to be pegged back and Oliver Davies put the game beyond doubt and handed Albion all three points. A fantastic victory for the very young side who were missing a few established first team players. Well done lads!!!
