Our first team travelled to Llanuwchllyn today which we all know is a difficult place to visit at the best of times. However, the task was made even harder when the management received news that two senior players dropped out at 12:30pm whilst their other team mates awaited at the away ground.

Despite this full credit has to go the lads who represented the club, it was our lads who started the game on the front foot taking the game to the hosts. Their efforts were rewarded when centre back Nathan William delivered an excellent cross/shot free kick from 35 yards out which bypassed everyone and nestled into the far corner. The hosts started to come back into the game but it was the Albion who should have made it 0-2 when an Alex Williams header from close range was superbly saved by the home keeper from just 4 yards out. The home team did get their goal which made it 1-1 at the break.

In similar fashion to Hawarden Rangers a couple of weeks ago, the home team come out second half and set a good tempo, asking many questions from the Albion defence. In another mad 10/15 minutes the lads found themselves 3-1 down and up chasing the game on a very heavy pitch. To their credit the lads responded well to falling behind and went in search for a way back into the tie. Unfortunately a Sean Jones penalty was awarded a little too late and the battling eleven lost the game 3-2.

Given the circumstances full credit goes to all the lads who represented our football club at Llanuwchllyn this afternoon. Well done!
