We would like to thank everyone that joined us at our end of season presentation on Saturday afternoon, the event was a huge success from start until finish. We would also like to extend our thanks to the Cefn Mawr Community Social Club ‘The Legion’ who once again generously looked after us, which has been no different to any another season, the buffet that was made available was first class and no one went without.

It’s been another successful campaign for our young but continually growing football club which was topped by us winning our sixth piece of silverware in just three seasons having been crowed the W.N.L Premier Division Cup champions. The success that has happened over the last three seasons has only been achievable due to the hard work of everyone connected to the club behind the scenes (you know who you are), without you and the hard work you voluntarily put in there would be no football club to be successful. Also, the success has been down to having the right set of players, who have the right attitude and want to represent our football club on the pitch. We must also thank all the players for their time and efforts over the course of the season which brings us on to this year’s award winners.

First Team
Players Player – Oliver Davies
Managers Player – Oliver Davies
Top Goal Scorer – Oliver Davies
Goal of the season – Alex Williams

Reserve Team
Players Player – Lewis Parry
Managers Player – Kien Morris
Top Goal Scorer – Callum Mannion
Goal of the season – Callum Mannion

It was really promising to see sixteen year old Lewis and seventeen year old Kien amongst the awards, it signifies the bright talent that’s coming through the ranks at the Albion. It was no surprise to see Oli Davies’ name amongst the awards though, not to mention his goals, his attitude and commitment towards the club is something that stands out week in week out and is something that our younger players such as fellow striker Callum Mannion can learn from. Another hot prospect and one for the future is Callum who has been a frequent goal scorer for our reserve team which has earned himself a regular call up to the first team. Alex Williams, who completed the first team awards clean sweep last season, won the goal of the season for his wonder strike in the derby against Penycae on the Muga.

Once again a big thank you to all those who attended, the beer flowed there were lots of smiles, especially during the champions DVD. We would like to thank Neco Kaya of Acrefair pizza and kebab for sponsoring the trophies. Please show Neco and his business the same support as what he has shown our club.

Well done to all the award winners. Please enjoy your short time off until we regroup in June and prepare for the next up and coming season.
