Cefn Albion’s reward for convincingly thrashing local neighbours Plas Madoc 5-0 in the second round of the Welsh Trophy is another home tie against Welsh Alliance Division Two outfit Penmaenmawr Phoenix.
In round two 4th placed Phoenix, who are near to the Conwy area put their name into the hat with an impressive 4-3 home victory over Bontnewydd of the Gwynedd football league. We are looking forward to their visit on 21st October and are expecting a tough challenge.
At the time of writing Penmaenmawr have played 7 games winning 4, drawing 1 and loosing 2. They have scored 22 goals and conceded 13 leaving them with a goal difference of 9.

Cefn Albion are a football team from the village of Cefn Mawr which is near Wrexham in North Wales. Albion was formed in 2014 to give local lads the opportunity to represent their village on a Saturday afternoon. At present we have two adult teams who play in the Welsh National Premier and Reserves and colts divisions.
